Birth & Postpartum Doula | Sibling Doula | Full-Spectrum Doula
My passion for birthing rights and equality began during my early work in perinatal health; I became a birth, postpartum, and full-spectrum doula to expand my ability to empower and educate birthing people. I first trained as a birth doula through ToLabor, and since then I have undertaken additional postpartum training with with the Richmond Doula Project and Urban Baby Beginnings, and with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings as a full-spectrum doula. I now support families in a broad range of needs, including navigating healthcare options, policies, and procedures; communicating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers; and identifying educational resources to find targeted information and support. My goal is to help each family find their own most meaningful and comfortable way through the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
In addition to my work directly supporting families, I have several years' training and experience as a women’s health medical assistant, working in fertility and reproductive health clinics and providing support across the spectrum of reproductive health. It is my honor and privilege to sit with individuals and families as they navigate the decision-making process surrounding their health needs, in a variety of contexts and circumstances.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. I can often be found reading short novels and exploring some of the sites within our community.
