About Krystal
Postpartum Doula | Newborn Care Specialist | Sibling Doula
Through working with children in various capacities for over 5 years, I discovered a passion to work directly caring for newborns and new parents. The role of a postpartum doula came instinctively to me -- as the eldest of 6 sisters and 1 brother, I have found myself caring for the whole family since my baby sister was born in 2008.
In my role as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, I help families experience the holistic health benefits of bonding. I am an observant participant and honor how culture and life philosophy shapes families’ birthing preferences. With my background in science and art, I integrate evidence-based and intuitive methods to provide the best personalized care for parents and infants. Most of all, I intend to exemplify unconditional love within my care and the work that I do.
While I specialize in postpartum and newborn care, my training as a nursing assistant allows me to provide targeted care to those recovering from childbirth. In addition to supporting physical care, I am exploring ways support mental and emotional health through art therapy. Since 2018, I have been in school to become a DNP Nurse-Midwife; I am also incorporating Rebozo practitioner training as part of my midwifery path.
