I have always felt in my heart an urge to serve others, especially other families about to embark on their own journey into parenthood. I believe that the process of pregnancy, birthing, and establishing life with a new baby should be empowering and joyful to all parents.

I strive to educate expectant parents about the birth process and your options in their chosen birth environment, then I provide non-judgmental support for your choices. I believe that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to birth, no one is better than another because of the way a birth unfolds. Rather, each family should be prepared for many possible variations in the birth process and feel supported in how they choose to work through any challenges.

In addition to providing support as a birth doula, I am also a birth assistant to local-area homebirth midwives.
