I love witnessing the transition of people into parents. The process can be so full of challenges but also so full of beauty, and having support during this transitional phase makes such a difference in how we experience the changes. During my pregnancies, I thoroughly enjoyed learning as much as I could about all things related to birth. The more I learned, the more I realized how much needs to be done to support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. After having my second child, I felt called to use my knowledge to help others during this important time.
There are so many paths to become a family or expand your family, and so many decisions to make along the journey. No matter your choices or circumstances, you need support and a lot of it! I support those who breastfeed and those who don't, both with making the decision that is right for you and with navigating the complexities that accompany each choice. I also help with bathing, sleeping, swaddling, and other newborn care measures to help you make your early days of parenting -- and your baby's early days of life -- as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
Having someone with you for processing and listening, as you tell the story of your birth and relive that transitional moment, is crucial. Having someone to talk through the highs and lows of parenthood gives life and energy to those highs and lows. I am a listening ear and supporting arm, and happy to help fill in the gaps of any other support you may have from family and loved ones.
I am delighted to accompany new parents in making these transitions, and to provide both hands-on support and additional community resources so that all your needs are met in these crucial early days. Whether you need help with newborn care, mother self-care, sleep strategies, processing your birth story, or anything in between, I am honored to support you in having your best postpartum experience possible!
