About Antara

Postpartum Doula | Newborn Care Specialist

One thing I have learned about the parent-infant relationship is that it is mighty. Birthing and caring for a newborn is an example of pure love at its most powerful. From carrying your baby in the womb, to producing milk (if that is how you choose to feed your child), to offering a lifetime’s worth of energy to caring for your little one, a birthing parent’s body and mind are capable of amazing things.

As your doula, I provide a judgment-free, respectful, and resource-filled space to help you make the choices that come along with growing a family of your own. Having come from a large family, I grew up assisting with the care of younger family members. This inspired me to complete the DONA International postpartum doula training. I have also been a nanny for years, and have cared for many children in their earliest days of life. I have a strong connection and protective sense for those who need or want help advocating for themselves; I always strive to hold loving space for babies, parents, siblings, and even pets. I also have specific interest in assisting the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations, who need and deserve more individualized care within the community.

I believe that appropriate support around the childbearing year is necessary to build the foundations of a healthy community for your child. I am honored to be a part of the force that helps make this support more available to families of every background. To be woven into your village during this quintessential human experience is a privilege, and I look forward to the opportunity to provide loving care to you and your growing family.
